DOES IT HURT?

Answers to this question and many others you always wanted to know about

TATTOOS

but were afraid to ask. . .

  1. Does it hurt?
  2. Most of our clients say it was a lot easier than they thought it would be. I have a smooth, light touch. I'm also a Certified Hypnotherapist and can hypnotize you so the sensations won't bother you... You'll still be fully awake and aware of everything. You just won't feel it... Our work is guaranteed to be of the highest quality available and at a price you can afford! We have a guest book for our clients to make remarks in, regarding their tattoo experience here, how it felt and how they like it.

Stop in and read some of the entries!

  3. Where's the strangest place you've put a tattoo?
  4. The strangest place I've ever put a tattoo was a set of Harley Wings on the inside of a guy's lower lip. I also put a set of Harley Wings on a guy's forehead to cover up a swastika he'd gotten from another tattooist the previous day while he was drunk.

    "THE AMAZING LEOPARD MAN."

  5. Where's the easiest place to get a tattoo?
  6. The easiest place to get a tattoo is right here at Eye of the Dragon Tattoo. We're very gentle and understanding.

Come in for your free "no pressure" consultation and estimate.

  7. Easiest place on the body to get a tattoo?
  8. The easiest place on the body to get a tattoo is on the outside of your forearm, however I recommend that young women not get their arms tattooed. The outline sometimes stings a little (unless you're in hypnosis), but it goes quickly. The coloring is easy to handle. I've even had people say it feels good (from the adrenaline rush or endorphins--which are your own body's natural pain relievers and similar to morphine). Many clients have fallen asleep during the coloring.

Drop by and we'll explain where the most popular spots are to get a tattoo and why.

  9. Hardest place to get a tattoo?
  10. The hardest place to get a tattoo is on your hair and teeth. They are very difficult for us to tattoo. The most sensitive place for you to get one might be your solar plexus and your eyeballs. . . I know a guy who has eyeballs tattooed on his eyelids! When he closes his eyes he looks like he's looking right at you.

Come in and find out how it was done!

  11. Worst place to get a tattoo?
  12. The absolute worst place to get a tattoo is from an inexperienced tattooist who is using your skin for a "practice pad." Chances are he or she doesn't know much about sterile procedures or tattooing in general and you'll end up with a mediocre tattoo at best, even if you don't end up with the "bubbling crud." The worst place on your body to get a tattoo is anywhere the skin stretches, bends, or wrinkles, including hands, feet, elbows, waist and groin area.

Come on in and find out why some areas of the body and some tattooists are a better choice than others.

  13. Is it safe? Can I get aids from a tattoo?
  14. In the hands of a true professional tattooist, trained in sterile procedures, a tattoo is very safe. I learned sterile procedures while I worked in Navy Hospitals as a Hospital Corpsman. I worked in the Intensive Care Unit, Burn Unit, Inhalation Therapy Unit, Anesthesia Department and Operating Room.

  15. How much do they cost?
  16. Our prices begin at $45, which is standard for this area. Many studios in larger cities have a $100 minimum and their prices are much higher. Mine were higher when I was in Daytona Beach. Think about it carefully before you let cost be a major factor in your decision. "You only have one image, let it be one that is admired and remembered." (Tattoos are forever). Our work is high quality, (it ain't braggin' if it's true). . . reasonably priced and guaranteed.

    Stop in and say Hi.
We'll be happy to show you
what you can get for your money.
    No obligation.
We really are the BEST FOR LESS!

  17. How old do you have to be?
  18. You must be at least 18, with a picture ID, to get a tattoo. There are some extenuating circumstances in which I'll tattoo a minor.

Stop in and see what we require.

  19. Can I get drunk first?
  20. It's best if you don't drink for a couple of days before you get your tattoo. Alcohol makes you bleed excessively. This isn't normal and it washes out some of the ink during the procedure. That's one reason why many tattoos are dull and faded. Don't take certain over-the-counter drugs for at least a week before your tattoo.

Come in and find out what and why.

  21. Can you remove tattoos?
  22. Tattoos can be removed in a variety of ways. I offer a fairly inexpensive method, which isn't traumatic for the client. I recommend having any tattoos on the hands or face removed. In other areas it's usually preferable and less expensive to cover it up with a professional quality design that you can live with.

Stop in for a free consultation.

  23. Is your equipment sterile?
  24. Everything that is used in your tattoo procedure is absolutely sterile. We use brand new points and ink each and every time, along with surgical gloves.

Stop by and we'll be happy to explain the procedures we go through to ensure that we are all protected from aids and hepatitis etc.

  25. Do you have discounts or gift certificates?
  26. You bet we give discounts. We also have Gift Certificates for that special person in your life. Give them a gift that will remind them of you and last them a lifetime.

Drop in and check out our specials.

  27. What's "Rogue's Gallery"?
  28. Rogue's Gallery is a collection of many thousands of photographs of the people we've tattooed.

Come in and see how many "Tattooed Rogues" you know or recognize. You'll see how great the tattoos turn out, what people are getting and where. . .

  29. Will it turn green like my Grandpa's did?
  30. No, your new tattoo won't turn green or blue like the ones in the old days. Even 20 years ago, tattoo technology was still fairly primitive. Points and pigments were not up to today's standards. Detail was hard to do. The lines and color spread with age.

Stop in and see the detail and colors our tattoos have compared to those of yesteryear.

  31. How long will the color stay?
  32. The color nowadays is of the highest quality available. When it is properly applied, the color will stay bright and last for many years, as long as you take good care of it while it's healing. We also offer free touch-ups for the first 90 days.

Stop by ahead of time and find out what you can do, before you get your tattoo, to help keep it bright for many years.

  33. Do you give credit?
  34. Our credit manager's name is Helen Waite. If you want credit, go to Helen Waite... We take cash, personal checks (with a guarantee card), Visa/MC, and sometimes trade for items of value.

    Come on in!

  35. What's one of the oldest traditions in history?
  36. Tattooing is one of the oldest traditions in history. If you know of anybody famous or "infamous", who has or had a tattoo, you can even add it to our list, along with your name--as our source, if you want to.

Come-on by and find out just how far back tattooing dates and who got them. You'll be surprised!

  37. Will it be sore afterwards?
  38. Your tattoo might feel like a mild sunburn for a short time, however most people don't experience any discomfort after the procedure is finished.

Stop in and talk to any of our clients after they get one.

  39. How did you learn to tattoo?
  40. I learned to tattoo from a man who owns one of the largest tattoo supply companies in the world. I later wrote some books on how to tattoo and ended up selling the copyrights to the same man who taught me. He added more material, changed it to his own style, and now sells it in hardback copy.

Drop by and see the original copies.

  41. Is it true that you sign all your tattoos?
  42. I don't sign a tattoo unless asked to do so. I used to, when I first came here from Daytona Beach where it was standard practice. The attitude around here is different; so if you want my mark, which resembles a tiny arrowhead, please remember to ask for it.

Please stop in--we want your business!
